A Message from Superintendent Keith McBurnett:

Another non-specific written bomb threat was found in a bathroom at Burnet Middle School this morning. Students were evacuated at 10:30 a.m. utilizing the campus fire drill procedures. The Burnet Police Department and Burnet Fire Department completed a search and sweep of the entire campus. The building was cleared for reentry at 11:40 a.m. Students are resuming their lunch and afternoon schedule as normal. A message about the evacuation was posted at approximately 10:40 a.m. on the District's Facebook Page and the District's Webpage. Because our first concern was safely evacuating students, we were not able to send out a school messenger message to BMS parents directly during the evacuation.
